Hello beautiful people! Welcome to July! Wow half the year is already over! I hope your year is going well and you all are crushing all of your goals. June was a PACKED month (I know I said the same thing in May) but it was probably one of the best months this year so far! Curious to see what I’ve been up to? Keep reading.
Summer 2026

Every summer people talk about how much they miss Summer ‘16 and hope that the current summer will be able to match that. Well, in New York City, Summer ‘26 exceeded all of those expectations and more! Firstly, the Knicks won the NBA finals for the first time in 53 years! There was a parade, it was Juneteenth weekend all while the world cup is happening! The social calendar was packed and there was no time to slow down and stop.

While all of this is happening, there were a lot of unfortunate things happening behind the scenes with friends and family. Balancing the fun while also providing and support and care to my loved ones who are going through hard times while also balancing all my roles and responsibilities had me firing on all cylinders. By the end of the month, I was just moving on auto-pilot. I was more reactive than proactive causing my systems and routines to crumble. By the end of the month, I knew that something had to change.
Teaching Yoga
I’ve been sharing this for the past few months and now it is finally happening! I started teaching classes in the middle of June and it has been so much fun. Teaching yoga gives me so much joy. It has been nice to have something that is 1) AI-Free and 2) doesn’t have anything to do with any of the other things that I’ve got going on. I’ve already started to have regulars in one of my classes which makes teaching all that more special. I feel so much optimism when it comes to teaching. I’m so excited to see what more is in store!
Work, Work, Work
Software engineering has really been okay. There were things that I was really excited about that are unfortunately not coming to fruition this year. On top of that, there has been so much drama (and hype) surrounding AI that it was starting to make me feel grumpy and really dread logging into work. Rather than getting too stressed about it, I’m focusing on other things that make me really happy. By the end of the month, things have started to level out and I’m working on a project that is challenging and also really interesting! My relationship work has evolved so much over the past few years that right now all I want to focus on is having fun and learning. So long as those things stay the same, I know that I’m going to be okay.
Systems Revamp
Every-time my system starts to fall apart, that’s the sign that its time to do a revamp. One of the things that needs to be streamlined is content creation. Now that I’m actively teaching yoga, my time to create and edit content has shortened. Content creation is still something that I love to do so I needed to figure out how I can make it work. As a result, my content strategy has changed so that I can still produce quality content with the limited time that I have.
Outside of content creation, now that I’m teaching Yoga, my schedule is packed and is causing a lot of mental overload. In order to mitigate that, I’ve been leveraging Claude and Notion to act as my scheduling assistant and off-load the mental burden of trying to figure things out. I’ve been using both for a week and I already feel lighter and more focused. It’s a small shift, but it’s already making a big difference in how I show up each day, feeling more present and less scattered.
Monetization
This last half of the year is going to focus on Monetization. I mentioned last month that I wanted to set up some passive monetization strategies and I unfortunately did not get to any of it. While I am giving myself grace, it’s also time for me to be serious if this is something that I want myself (and everyone around me) to take seriously. This month I’m going to be focusing on my blog and getting that to the place I want it to be. Watch this space because so many exciting things are coming soon!
Closing
Looking back, June felt like I was off track when it came to working towards my goals. Now, I see it as the month for joy and further proof of what is truly important to me. I’m excited for what July has in store. I have a feeling that it is going to be great. What’s something that you’re looking forward to next month? Any projects that you’re working on? DM me on Instagram and let’s chat about it.
