November 2024 Recap

by | Dec 6, 2024 | 0 comments

Hello, Beautiful People! Happy December! We have entered the last month of 2024. I don’t know how you feel, but it feels to me like time has really flown by but moved so slowly at the same time. As I begin the process of reflecting on 2024, I can’t help but feel gratitude and appreciation that I have made it this far. This year has truly been a year of enjoyment and ease in a way that I didn’t feel possible. Curious to know what I was up to in November? Read my November 2024 recap to learn everything!

Personal Update: Trying to get reorganized

Last month was really disorienting. I embarked and completed the journey of preserving my fertility which was really exciting and empowering, however, I underestimated the affect that it would have on me physically and emotionally. As someone who is really active all the time, I had to make the conscious effort to listen to my body and slow down. One thing that really surprised me was how okay I was with slowing down. Last month, I talked about how I needed to relinquish control and I really put it into full practice last month. I’m considering this a win and as I wind down for the year, I hope that I can continue to find moments to let go and find peace.

Trying to get reorganized

Now as I’m starting to feel a lot more like myself, I’m excited to get back into doing the things I love and being active again. For Thanksgiving this year, I decided to host some friends in my apartment and we had the most amazing time! One of the things that I’m thankful for this year is my community. I’ve truly built and cultivated the best community of people around me who are the most supportive, kind, and that make me feel that I can do anything. I can’t wait to host more next year and bring more of my favorite people together.

As I continue to foster and nurture my relationships, I am also auditing my relationships as well. I want to make sure that the people that I have in my life are the people who I can confidently say are in my corner and are good for my emotional and mental well-being. I want to be able to say that those who are in my inner circle are the ones that I can truly count on with no hesitation. This process of auditing relationships, while sometimes difficult, is essential for maintaining a healthy and supportive environment that allows me to grow and thrive which is something I hope to continue to do in the New Year.

Business Update: Visioning, Creating, and Learning

I mentioned last month that I planned on spending last month prepping for 2025. While I did get started on it, I unfortunately did not get as far as I wanted to. However, this month will be the month! I’m realizing a lot needs to be done organizationally before I can truly hit the ground the way I want to. This looks like revamping my Notion workspace, outlining my goals for 2025, and planning out more content! I’m excited to see where I’m going to be this time next year from a business standpoint. I have a feeling it’s going to be an epic one.

Ademusoyo currently wrapping up the production of her last LinkedIn Learning course for the year

As I’m writing this, I am currently wrapping up the production of my last LinkedIn Learning course for the year! Coming out to California to record is a really special treat. This time around I got to socialize more with other instructors and I am leaving this time around feeling more inspired than ever before! I’m excited to continue creating more courses in the new year. I’ll be sure to let you all know when it’s live!

Work Update: Circling back in 2025?

I have two full weeks left of my full-time job before I’m done for the remainder of the year. I’m excited but I feel like there’s so much to do. This year has truly been a year of learning, but one thing I want to be able to do in 2025 is not only just learn but also contribute. I know that in order for me to do that, I really need to buckle down and make these next two weeks as productive as possible. Rather than feeling stressed or anxious about it, I’m actually feeling pretty excited! Like I mentioned before, I truly feel that I can thrive here in my career as a software engineer. I’m so thankful for this opportunity and it’s time to kick it up to the place where I know it can be.

Closing

2024 was a hectic year but a year that helped me come back to myself and my vision. I’m looking forward to finishing out this year strong, in good health, and feeling good about the year ahead. Thank you for being apart of my 2024 and I can’t wait to talk to you again on my blog in 2025! I’d love to know what you have planned for the new year. Reach out to me on Instagram or TikTok to tell me about them!
