Happy December, beautiful people! December has really flown by and I can’t believe we are reaching the END of 2025. 2025 was such a beautiful year filled with so much joy but it was also a big growth year. I don’t know about you but I am ready to rest, recharge, and prepare for 2026 which is why this December update is coming a little bit early. In order to prepare for writing this final post, I went back to the beginning of 2025 to see how things panned out. Curious to see how 2025 ended up? Keep reading.
2025: The Year of Building Momentum
2025 was the year about building momentum. Making little increments of progress and watching how it transforms into something bigger than I ever thought possible. There were moments where the momentum felt overwhelming. However, as the momentum continued to build and build, great things started to really unfold. I find myself at the end of this year feeling immense gratitude for the year I’ve had and an excitement for what more is in store for the future. I had five areas that I wanted to focus on this year so let me break down how each of them went:
- Software Engineering
- Learning French
- Fitness
- Productivity
- Content Creation
Software Engineering
This year was such a good year for me within my 9-5! Year 2 has definitely been just as challenging as the first year but I’m feeling a lot more confident about my output and my execution. One of the biggest challenges this year was the big wave of AI. It caused a lot of re-prioritization and restructuring within the company and it left a lot of us with a wave of uncertainty. I was a little bit worried about what the future would look like at the company, but I am ending this year feeling a lot more peace and confidence that next year will be an even better year as well. I really see myself continuing to grow my career here for the long-term and I am excited to see what that continues to look like professionally. I am looking forward to taking the rest of the year off and really celebrate how great this year has been professionally. I feel like I’m ending this year as a much stronger engineer than I started, and I’m excited to continue building on that foundation in 2026.
Learning French
French this year isn’t something I made HUGE progress in but I have made progress nonetheless. By the end of this year I would have practiced french every single day and I am thrilled! This year reminded me that not all goals have to have a big output at the end of the year. Some goals can be quiet progress and you can watch how it starts to unfold overtime. I still need to get better at speaking, but this year confirmed to me that this is something that I want to prioritize and want to continue growing in. 2026 will be all about getting better at speaking and I’ll be looking to see what ways I can prioritize making that happen.
Fitness
The biggest growth for me happened within fitness! I became a 200 Hour Certified Yoga Instructor! This was something that I knew I would do eventually but I didn’t expect it to happen this year! Things have been happening stepping into the fitness industry and I’m excited to see what it’s like building a career here within 2026. This past four months have been such a journey and I am so transformed by this whole experience. I still need time to sit and process everything that I’ve learned and everything that has happened. I look forward to doing that within my break but I also look forward to taking a moment of gratitude for how hard I’ve worked and what I’ve accomplished.
Productivity
My productivity was up and down but I feel like I’ve identified what the missing piece is and that’s Notion. I talk about this in more detail on my SubStack, but I feel like this year I have a new understanding of why I want to be as productive I am which will serve as the foundation for all of my systems, routines and rituals going forward. I’m feeling more clear, I’m feeling more excited and I feel more ready to tackle 2026 with a lot of grit but also a level of gentleness and softness that will keep me balanced and energized.
Content Creation
In 2025, I still kept up with my content, but I found myself falling out of it here and there. I told myself that by the end of 2025 I would have an answer to where I want content creation to fit in my life and I definitely have my answer. One of the things I’m really excited that I did was starting my Substack. I am looking forward to sharing more of my thoughts surrounding my life and productivity and building a community on TikTok. I don’t know what next year is going to look like content creation wise, but I have a feeling it’s going to be great.
Closing
2025 has been a year of profound growth, quiet progress, and beautiful momentum. In 2025 I strengthened my engineering skills, became a certified yoga instructor, maintained a daily French practice, and found clarity in my content creation journey. Each area of focus has taught me something valuable about patience, consistency, and trusting the process.
As I step into 2026, I’m carrying forward the lessons of this year: progress doesn’t always have to be loud, momentum builds slowly but powerfully, and staying committed to what matters creates transformation over time. I’m excited to continue building on these foundations, to deepen my practice in areas I’ve started, and to see what new opportunities unfold.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Here’s to ending 2025 with gratitude and stepping into 2026 with intention, clarity, and excitement for what’s to come. Happy New Year! 🎉 I’ll talk to you then.
